The Franschhoek Motor Museum offers visitors a special opportunity to look back at more than 100 years of motoring history with its unique and exciting collection of vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles and memorabilia in the magnificent setting of L’Ormarins. Across the length and breadth of Southern Africa, only one place can adequately portray the evolution of the automobile, The Franschhoek Motor Museum.
The museum’s collection exceeds 220 vehicles – ranging from an 1898 Beeston motor tricycle to a 2003 Ferrari Enzo supercar – and more than 80 exhibits will be on view at any one time, displayed in four de-humidified halls with a total floor area of 2700 m², and presented in chronological order.

Spotlessly clean. Fantastic friendly and helpful staff. Exibitions should be seen again. Must be back - Hermann
We really enjoyed our time at the museum! The security gaurd at the gate was very friendly and we appreciated his demeanour at the start if our day. Upon arrival, the staff were polite and welcoming, and all set for us. Our guide knew the background details of the cars well, and we enjoyed chatting with him as we viewed the different motor collections, which was spectacular. We also enjoyed the tram ride and being able to see where the cars are taken to race every now and then. Thanks for a great time! - Tahnee
It sucked because nobody asked me if i want the Capri standing there, but no i walked away with nothing ? We loved to see all the models and different eras of motoring. Was very interresting and nostalic. Thank you for your commitments to keep this alive and show to people to experience. Excellent. - Willem
