The Franschhoek Motor Museum offers visitors a special opportunity to look back at more than 100 years of motoring history with its unique and exciting collection of vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles and memorabilia in the magnificent setting of L’Ormarins. Across the length and breadth of Southern Africa, only one place can adequately portray the evolution of the automobile, The Franschhoek Motor Museum.
The museum’s collection exceeds 220 vehicles – ranging from a 1898 Beeston motor tricycle to a 2003 Ferrari Enzo supercar – and more than 80 exhibits will be on view at any one time, displayed in four de-humidified halls with a total floor area of 2700 m², and presented in chronological order.

No motorcycles and buses bigger than 23 seaters will be allowed on the property. Motorcycles and busses are required to park at Anthonij Rupert Wyne.

It was lovely! My family were on a long holiday in the area and had heard about the museum first from a You Tube video. It is beautifully done, and is particularly encouraging to see that some of the cars are used. Everyone on site looked after us well. - Adrian
Visiting the museum was the highlight of our visit to Capetown. Seeing the beautiful place filled with such beauty from the older days that's been so well kept just made us capture beautiful pictures that will last forever as memories. More importantly seeing the elderly look at these beautiful vehicles taking them back to their younger days hearing them speak and tell stories was the biggest highlight for me personally.
